Zermatt, found at the base of the world famous Matterhorn, is one of the most iconic ski destinations on the planet. Getting to Zermatt is an adventure in itself, as the village is car-free. Visitors park in the nearby town of Täsch and take a scenic train ride up to Zermatt. This makes the resort feel even more special, as its streets are free of traffic and the air remains crisp and clean. By Air

The nearest major airport is Zurich, about 3.5 hours away by train. Geneva is also a convenient option, with transfers by train or private car available for international visitors.

By Train

Zermatt is well connected via the Swiss rail network. The most popular route is to take a train to Visp or Brig, followed by the scenic mountain railway up to Zermatt.

By Car

Zermatt is a car-free village, so visitors need to park in the nearby town of Täsch and take a 12-minute shuttle train up to the resort. Private transfers from Täsch are also available.

By Bus

Direct buses from major Swiss cities like Geneva and Zurich provide a convenient way to reach Täsch. From there, it's a short shuttle train or electric taxi to Zermatt.

By Private Transfer
