British Columbia's stunning resort town of Whistler is tucked away in the coastal mountains. Whistler Blackcomb, the biggest ski resort in North America, is only two hours' drive from Vancouver and boasts unparalleled amenities and a wide variety of terrain.
 

With 37 different types of lifts, Whistler Blackcomb effectively moves skiers throughout its large territory. The resort's 8,100 acres of land are home to more than 200 designated paths that are appropriate for riders of all experience levels. Seasonal perfection is guaranteed by sufficient snowmaking capacity and consistent snowfall. A superpipe, halfpipes, and other terrain parks are available for freestyle snowboarders and skiers.

The main gateway to Whistler is Vancouver International Airport, making travel there easy. A little over 2 hour drive from Vancouver International Airport with stunning views of both the mountains and the ocean, taking the trip to Whistler is an adventure in itself.
 

A distinctive characteristic of Whistler is the Peak 2 Peak Gondola, which takes you from Whistler to Blackcomb mountains providing spectacular panoramic views of the resorts. Visitors can tour the several Olympic venues and legacy sites in Whistler, which also served as home to the 2010 Winter Olympics. For those seeking high altitudes and more skilled terrain, Whistler also offers heli-skiing. On top of that there are more relaxed activities such as snowshoeing and cross country skiing.
