Aomori Spring Ski Resort is located on the northernmost tip of Honshu Island. It is considered a hidden gem that offers an exceptional skiing experience on the slopes of Mount Iwaki, in tranquil surrounds. It is situated in Aomori Prefecture and is often referred to as Tsugaru Fuji due to its cone-like shape. Aomori Springs is relatively unknown compared to Japan's more famous ski destinations, making it a perfect escape for those looking to avoid the crowds while enjoying perfect snow conditions.
The resort features a well-balanced combination of modern facilities and natural beauty with one gondola and six lifts providing access to 14 diverse trails that cater to all levels of skiers and snowboarders. The terrain is varied with 232 hectares of skiable terrain, offering everything from beginner slopes to challenging black runs and off-piste options that make the most of the region's famous powder.
Aomori Spring is renowned for its deep, dry snow with an average annual snowfall of around 14 metres, creating ideal conditions for powder enthusiasts. During the day, the resort's gondola whisks visitors up to 921 meters, where breathtaking views of the Tsugaru Plains and the Sea of Japan await. For those who can't get enough of the slopes, night skiing on lit trails provides a unique and exhilarating experience.

The nearest airport is Aomori Airport, located about 70 minutes away by car. International visitors often connect through Tokyo or Osaka for domestic flights to Aomori Airport.
By Train
Aomori Spring is accessible via the Shinkansen to Shin-Aomori Station. It takes about 40 minutes from Hirosaki Station by car or taxi to Aomori Spring or alternatively, it is about 20 minutes from Ajigasawa Station.
By Car
Driving to Aomori Spring is convenient with well-maintained roads. Rent a car from Hirosaki and it will roughly take 45 minutes. A rental car is useful if you plan to explore nearby attractions like Lake Towada or Shirakami-Sanchi.
