Overview

Steamboat is a charming mountain town that is renowned for it's world-class ski resort and warm genuine hospitality, situated in the Yampa Valley of northern Colorado. Steamboat is a winter paradise for skiers and snowboarders alike, with 18 lifts including the brand new Wild Blue Gondola - which is the longest and fastest 10 person gondola in North America. This revolutionary gondola gets you up to the mountain with breathtaking efficiency, ensuring more time on the slopes and less time in dreaded lines.

The resort is spread over 2,965 acres of a varied terrain, offering something for every skill level. With 169 courses ranging from gentle beginner slopes to challenging double blacks (experts), Steamboat caters to beginners and experts alike. The legendary "Champagne Powder" a term coined in Steamboat, delivers a snow experience unlike any other, with light and fluffy snow that feels more like floating than skiing! For snowboard lovers, Steamboat provides ample terrain parks and halfpipes to test all your tricks and jumps.

Apres-ski in Steamboat is an experience in itself - with plenty of venues for live music, dancing and socialising. The town's authentic charm is reflected in its warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes every night out feel special.

Accessibility to Steamboat is convenient, with the Yampa Valley Regional Airport located 35 kilometres away with direct flights from major cities. Alternatively, for those landing at Denver International Airport it is roughly a 3.5 to 4 hour drive to Steamboat - this is a great option for those landing into Denver. Steamboat stands out with some unique features that sets it apart from other North American resorts like the Strawberry Hot Springs where you can soak tired and sores muscles surrounded by forest. The resort's family friendly vibe offers horse back riding, ice skating and a saddle back ranch (with tube and sleigh rides) add to its allure, ensuring that Steamboat is not just a destination, but an unforgettable experience.
