Overview

Nestled in Austria’s Paznaun Valley, Ischgl is a ski lover’s paradise, blending world-class skiing with a buzzing après-ski scene. The resort stretches across 238 kilometers of well-maintained slopes, offering something for everyone—whether you’re carving up gentle beginner trails or seeking a challenge on steeper runs. With 45 modern lifts and gondolas, getting around the mountain is quick and easy, so you can spend more time enjoying the snow and less time waiting in line. Freeriders and snowboarders can also get their adrenaline fix with off-piste areas and snow parks designed for big air and tricks.

But Ischgl isn’t just about skiing. Once the sun dips behind the mountains, the village transforms into one of the liveliest après-ski hubs in Europe. From cozy mountain bars serving schnapps to high-energy nightclubs that pump music into the early hours, the party vibe is strong. Dining is equally diverse, with everything from hearty Austrian dishes to upscale international cuisine on offer. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite after skiing or sitting down for a gourmet meal, you won’t be disappointed.

Getting to Ischgl is a breeze, with Innsbruck airport just a two-hour drive away. You can even hop across the border for a unique experience—Ischgl’s ski area connects with Samnaun in Switzerland, so you can ski two countries in one day. Add in Ischgl’s famous “Top of the Mountain” concerts, where big-name artists perform at the season’s end, and it’s clear why this place is a bucket-list destination for skiers who want to mix epic slopes with unforgettable après.
