Cortina d’Ampezzo,  tucked into the center of the Dolomites, is a glamorous alpine getaway that has long been known as the “Queen of the Dolomites.” Found in northern Italy, this resort offers a perfect blend of breathtaking mountain scenery and top-notch skiing. As part of the massive Dolomiti Superski region, Cortina offers access to over 1,200 kilometers of interconnected ski runs. Within its own boundaries, you’ll find around 120 kilometers of varied terrain, served by 34 modern lifts and gondolas. Whether you’re a beginner cruising down gentle, scenic runs or an advanced skier seeking out black diamond challenges, Cortina has it all. Snowboarders are also well-catered for, with the Faloria Fun Park offering exciting jumps, rails, and obstacles.

 

Après-ski here is more on the sophisticated side, with Cortina’s stylish bars and lounges offering the perfect setting to unwind. Sip on an aperitif as you soak in the stunning views, or head to one of the many charming mountain huts for a taste of local cuisine. Going out to eat and dine is a real highlight, with everything from cozy Italian trattorias to Michelin-starred restaurants. Getting to Cortina is straightforward, with Venice and Innsbruck airports both a couple of hours away by car or transfer. If you’re traveling by train, the nearest station is Calalzo di Cadore, followed by a short bus ride to the resort. Cortina will be hosting the 2026 Winter Olympics, Cortina is buzzing with excitement, with upgraded facilities and infrastructure adding to its appeal. Outside of the world of skiing and snowboarding, you can explore the luxury shops in the charming town center or try snowshoeing, making Cortina a blend of adventure, style, and Italian charm that’s hard to resist.
