Day by Day Itinerary
Lotte Arai was initially built after the economy bubble, and open in 1993 as the very luxurious Arai Mountain Resort and Spa, with the resort ceasing operations in 2006. Lotte Arai Mountain Resort was re-opened for the 2017-18 winter season.
After arriving at the hotel, settle in and relax or take the afternoon to have a look around the hotel. If you want to hit the slopes early the next day its a good chance to organise your rental gear.
The resort has a gondola which takes you to the peak of the mountain via two stops, which has a vertical elevation of 951 metres.
The size of the skiable terrain at Lotte Arai is officially 197 hectares including the 12 off piste zones, but it feels much bigger than that! However, there are only 11 dedicated courses with25% of them being dedicated to beginners, 45% to intermediates and 30% to advanced skiers and snowboarders.
You can access to all lifts and gondolas using Rusutsu lift pass. It has a large ski area that covers three mountains, each having a variety of long groomed runs with a heap of great powder and tree runs.
